Whitetail Ravine Track your way through this breathtaking mountain gorge in search of that elusive Whitetail Deer. The highly rugged terrain and vast sheer mountain faces can make this both a challenging and rewarding location to hunt. The river originate from a lake in the foothills of the mountains, if you are lucky you may even spot some coyote in the area.
Caribou Gap
This is a very rugged mountainous area and heavily forested in places. The Caribou can often be found on the higher slopes of the mountain foothills. The lowland areas can sometimes be frequented by the odd Whitetail, so keep your eyes open. Also beware of wolf pack, they are know to live around the more forested areas.
High Valley Freight Line
Cutting through the valley in the foothills of the mountains runs an old abandoned railway line. Once a busy freight line it has now been reclaimed by nature and the surrounding valley with its rich vegetation is home to a vast array of wildlife. Check out the higher slopes for North American Elk and the lower land for lone Mule Deer and Coyote.
The Lowland Stretch
The freight line continues to the south through an old tunnel into a valley through the lower hills. Similar scenery to the High Valley Freight Line, although the lower hills are more home to Whitetail, Mule Deer and Wolves.
Moose River
Flowing from the foothills of the western mountain range, Moose River is a slow meandering river, winding its way gently south to Moose River Marsh. The lower land around the river and lake is home to a few scattered moose. Take to the higher ground in search of Elk, Caribou and maybe even the odd Coyote.
Mule Vale
This rolling lowland vale, with it's gentle slopes and jutting cliffs is home to a few small herds of Elk and Whitetail. Also if you are lucky you may spot the occasional Mule Deer or Wolf pack.
Lonesome Hill
The gentle hills around Lonesome Hill are often inhabited by small herds of Pronghorn Deer, but you will have to be good to bag one of these, they can put on a good turn of speed when spooked. Mule Deer may also be found roaming the foothills and it is not unheard of for a group of Elk to wander in from time to time.
Grand Plains
We are in Bison country now! Vast open plains of grass and scrubland. There is a large herd of Bison live on these plains. With a herd this big it is very easy to spook, plus the trick is shooting a male among all the chaos.
Moose River Marsh
Here we have a large area of low wetlands, fed from the Moose River. This is prime hunting ground for Moose and you shouldn't have too much trouble finding one here. If Moose aren't your thing then keep and eye out for a passing herd of Caribou, they are drawn to the water for drinking.
Red Canyons
Saddle up guys we are in cowboy country. This large area of scrub and desert canyons is home to herds Bison and Pronghorn. Keep an eye out for that old Freight Line running through here, you can use the bridge to cross the canyon.
